Chanagala Vepudu - Bengal Gram Fry


Ingredients

Bengal gram :100 gms
Onion :1 big size (cut in to small pieces)
Red chillies :2
Curry leaves
Cumin seeds: 1tbs
Black gram dal : 1tbs
Asafoetida : 1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds : 1tbs
Turmaric powder: 1tbs
Salt to taste
Oil fry

Method

Soak the bengal gram over night
Pressure cook the bengal gram upto 3 whistles
Remove from the cooker and drain the water
Heat oil in a pan add sliced onions, red chillies, cumin seeds, black gram dal, mustard seeds and curry leaves fry for 2 minutes
Add pressure cooked bengal gram and fry for 2 minutes
Add turmeric powder, asafoetida and salt fry for 2 more minutes.
