Jantika is a famous South Indian (Andhra) snack prepared with Rice flour and Gram Flour (Besan)


Gram flour (Besan): 250 grms
Rice Flour : 1kg
Red Chilly Powder: 3tbs
Sesame Seeds: 5tbs
Salt as per taste
Dalda(vanaspathi) :50grms
Oil for frying


Take a bowl add rice flour,basin ,sesame seeds, chilly powder,salt and mix well
Heat dalda pour over the flour misture and mix well
Mix the flour into tight dough by adding little water

Heat oil in a deep bottomed karahi
Take small portion of dough fill it in the mixture maker

Gently press and rotate the mixture maker to obtain desired shape as shown in the picture and gently drop in the karahi fry till they turn into golden brown color and crispy


Remove and store in a air tight container. These snacks can be stored for 2 -3 weeks.
