Soy or Soya Chunks are made from Soy flour. They are rich in protein and with nil fat. The protein content in soy chunks is equal to that of the meat.
They are very easy to cook and can be a best combination with any type of vegetable, non-veg or rice dishes. Here's a simple and healthy recipe with soy chunks combined with cauliflower.
Soy Chunks : 1 cup
Cauliflower : 1 small (cut into pieces)
Onion, ginger and garlic paste : 2 table spoons
Garam masala powder : 2 tea spoon
Red Chilly Powder : 1 tea spoon
Turmeric Powder : 1 tea spoon
Coriander leaves to garnish
Salt : As per taste
Oil : 1 table spoon
Boil water in a vessel, add soy chunks when water starts boiling.
Add little salt and boil the chunks for 2 minutes.
Squeeze the water from soy chunks after cooling and keep aside
Same way boil the cauliflower pieces for 2 minutes, drain the excess water after cooling and keep aside
Heat oil in a pan or wok
Add onion, ginger and garlic paste fry on slow flame for 2 minutes
Fry for 3 more minutes after adding red chilly powder, turmeric powder, salt (as per taste) and Garam masala powder
Add boiled soy chunks and cauliflower pieces, fry on slow flame for 5 minutes.
Healthy and delicious Cauliflower Soya Chunks Masala curry is ready to serve.
Garnish with coriander leaves (optional)
Serve hot with rice or roti
