Groundnut chutney (Veru Sanaga pappu pachadi) makes a best combination with almost all every South Indian breakfast dishes like Idli, Dosa, Vada, Appam, Kudumu and Oothappam etc.....
Here is a simple groundnut chutney recipe
Groundnut : 1 cup (Roasted)
Green Chillies : 4
Tamarind : 1 small lemon sized ball
Garlic : 4 cloves
Cumin seeds : 1 tea spoon
Salt : As per taste
Oil : 1 tea spoons
Black gram (Urad) dal : 1 tea spoon
Mustard seeds : 1 tea spoon
Cumin Seeds : 1 tsp
Red Chillies (Whole) : 2
Oil : 1 tsp
Heat oil in a pan, fry tamarind, garlic cloves, cumin seeds, green chillies,curry leaves for 1 minute.
Grind roasted groundnuts and above fried ingredients into smooth paste by adding water in a kitchen grinder
Add salt while grinding.
For seasoning heat oil in a pan
Add black gram dal, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red chillies and curry leaves, fry till the mustard starts splitting.
Pour the seasonings over the ground chutney
Serve with idli or dosa
