Mullangi aakula vepudu - Radish leaves fry

Radish leaves are rich in vitamin C and have more calcium, phosphorous and protein.  They are also very useful in treatment of jaundice.
Here's a quick and easy recipe of radish leaves which is very healthy and nutritive.


Fresh radish leaves

Onion : 1 (chopped)
Red chilly : 1
Garlic : 6 cloves
Curry leaves : few
Cumin seeds : 1/2 tea spoon
Mustard seeds : 1/2 tea spoon
Black gram dal : 1/2 tea spoon

Turmeric powder : 1 tea spoon
Salt : as per taste
Oil : 1 table spoon


Wash and chop the radish leaves

Heat oil in a karahi (wok)

Add chopped onion, red chilly, curry leaves, garlic cloves, cumin, mustard seeds and black gram dal and fry till the mustard seeds splits.

Add chopped radish leaves,  stir fry for 2 minutes

Add turmeric powder, salt and mix well
Cover karahi with a lid.

Cook on slow flame till the excess water drains from the leaves.
Serve hot with rice or roti
