Mudda Kobbari Pachadi - Coconut Chutney



This is another version of routine coconut chutney which can be served as a side dish along with rice or roti.


Ingredients

Coconut : 1 small  (Cut into small pieces)


Ripe(n) Chillies : 3 


Cumin seeds : 1 tea spoon


Tamarind : 1 inch ball


Curry leaves : few


Salt : as per taste


Oil : 2 tea spoons







For seasoning

Black gram (Urad dal) : 1 tea spoon
Red chillies : 2
Mustard seeds : 1 tea spoon
Cumin Seeds : 1 tea spoon
Curry leaves : Few
Oil : 2 tea spoons

Method

Heat oil in a pan. fry coconut pieces, ripen chillies, tamarind, cumin seeds and curry leaves for 2 minutes


Grind the above fried ingredients into coarse paste,  add salt according to your taste and keep aside.
For seasoning heat oil in a pan, add black gram (urad dal), mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red chillies, curry leaves and fry till mustard starts splitting.
Pour the seasoning above the ground paste and mix well.


Serve with rice or roti as a side dish
