Shark Fish Scramble - Sora Pittu



Shark fish  is widely found in coastal sea region of Andhra Pradesh. It is known as Sora Chepa in Telugu language. The shark fish is very hard to find in other regions but its meat is really very tasty. Here is a simple and easy recipe prepared with shark fish meat.
This recipe is known as Sora pittu (Shark scramble) in telugu.


Ingredients


Shark fish (pieces) : 2


Onion : 2 (Big) : Finely chopped


Green Chillies : 3 (Finely chopped)


Coriander leaves


Mustard seeds : 1 tea spoon


Black gram (Urad dal) : 1 tea spoon


Cumin seeds : 1 tea spoon


Ginger garlic paste : 2 tea spoons


Garam Masala Powder : 2 tea spoon


Turmeric powder : 2 tea spoons


Salt : As per taste


Oil : 2 Table spoons



Method

Wash the shark pieces
Take a vessel heat water enough to cover shark pieces add 1 tea spoon salt, 1 tea spoon turmeric powder and boil fish pieces for 10 minutes
Mash the boiled shark pieces and keep aside














Heat oil in a wok/karahi add black gram (Urad dal), Mustard seeds, cumin seeds and fry till mustard starts splitting.
Add chopped onions, green chillies and fry for 3 minutes
Add ginger garlic paste and fry till the raw smell disappears 
Add turmeric powder, garam masala powder and salt as per taste mix well
Add chopped coriander leaves and fry for 2 minutes
Add mashed shark fish, mix well and fry for 5 minutes on slow flame 
Delicious shark fish scramble is ready to serve
Serve hot with rice or roti
