Healthiest snack - Dry Fruits and Nuts Laddu

Everyone wants to stay healthy but it is difficult to stay fit and healthy now a days due the overwhelming stress with busy and irregular life style. In quest of health people are behind the expensive dietary supplements which promise miracles. But we are forgetting that nature has given us wonderful resources which are full of vitamins, minerals and fiber with disease fighting ability in the form of dry fruits and nuts. They are cholesterol free and contains healthy unsaturated fats which lowers the risk of heart diseases. They are good source of vitamin E which is one of the top anti aging vitamin.
They are also good source of potassium, magnesium, zinc, vitamin B6,copper, iron, calcium etc. Dry fruits and nuts are rich source of fiber and antioxidants. So why not make full use of our best natural resources? Here's a delicious healthy snack recipe ideal for everyone prepared with dry fruits and nuts to maintain a healthy lifestyle. These laddus are very tasty and extremely easy to prepare. They can be stored for 3 to 4 weeks.

Ingredients

Dates : 250 gm
Cashew Nuts : 250 gm
Almonds : 200 gm
Raisins : 200 gms
Poppy seeds (Khus khus) : 50 gm
Dosa pappu (Cucumber seeds) : 100 gm
Ghee (Clarified butter) : 1 table spoon
Honey : 1 table spoon

Method

De seed and cut the dates into pieces
Cut the almonds, cashew nuts into pieces according to your choice.
Heat ghee in a pan and roast all the above items for 5 minutes on slow flame.
Allow the mixture to cool for 2 minutes add honey and mix well
Apply slight ghee on both palms and roll the mixture into round (laddu) shapes.
Store in a dry and clean container
