Nuvvu Pappu Jantikalu

Jantikalu (Murukulu) is a famous South Indian snack prepared with Gram flour (Besan) and Rice flour.The recipe Nuvvu Pappu Jantikalu is another variation of normal Jantikalu in which Gram flour replaced with Black Gram flour and sesame seeds are added for additional taste. These crispy Nuvu Pappu Jantikalu are very tasty and easy to prepare.


Ingredients

Rice Flour : 4 cups
black gram flour : 1 cup
Red chilly powder : 2tsp
Sesame seeds : 1/4 cup
Ghee : 50 gms
Salt to taste
Oil for fry

Method

Take a bowl add rice flour, black gram flour, red chilly powder, sesame seeds, salt and mix well.
Heat ghee pour over the flour mixture and mix well.
Mix the flour into tight dough by adding little water at a time.
Heat oil in a deep bottomed wok/karahi.
Take little dough portion and  fill it in the Muruku maker .
Muruku/Jantikalu/Mixture maker
Gently press and rotate the Muruku maker to obtain round shapes and gently drop in the wok/karahi 
Fry the Jantikalu till they turn in to golden brown color.
Delicious and crispy Jantikalu is ready to serve.
These snacks can be stored up to 2 to 3 weeks if stored in a clean, dry and air tight container.
