Pakoda is one of the most popular tea time snacks in India. This very tasty snack is prepared with gram flour batter fried in oil. There are several variations for this snack. Here's a simple and easy pakoda snack recipe prepared with healthy capsicum and gram flour from Hema's Kitchen. It's very tasty, crispy and ideal snack for tea time.Ingredients
Capsicums : 2 ( Chopped)
Gram flour (Besan) : 1 cup
Rice flour : 1 table spoon
Red chilly powder : 2 tea spoons
Ginger paste : 1 tea spoon
Oil for deep fry
Salt to taste.
MethodTake a bowl add chopped capsicum, gram flour (besan), rice flour, red chilly powder, ginger paste, salt and mix well.
Add little water at a time to make thick smooth paste.
Heat oil in a wok or karahi Make desired shapes with the above mixture and gently drop in the oil.
Fry on low flame till they turn into golden brown in color.
Serve hot with sauce or imli ki chutney
