Sabudana Halwa - Tapioca Sweet

Sabudana Halwa is a simple sweet recipe prepared with tapioca and jaggery.
This halwa is very tasty, extremely delicious and worth to give a try.

Ingredients

Jaggery : 2 cups
Cardamom powder : 1 tea spoon
Ghee : 3 table spoons
Cashew nuts : few 
Raisins : few
Almonds : few

Method

Soak tapioca (Saggu biyyam) in water for 2 to 3 hours  and grind in to smooth paste.
 Heat ghee in a pan add cashew nuts, raisins, almonds fry 1 minute on low flame and set aside.
Boil 2 cups water in a vessel add jaggery and make thick syrup, now add above paste and mix continuously on low flame until it turns into thick paste. 
Add cardamom powder, cashew nuts, almonds, raisins and mix well.
Apply ghee on a tray and spread the halwa.
Delicious Sabudana Halwa is ready to serve

  3. I know of the payasam and I like it a lot. But halwa I have never had. Interesting. I like sago and I like anything sweet.
