Ridge Gourd Skin Dosa

Here's a variety dosa recipe prepared with ridge gourd skin and green gram dal from Hema's Kitchen.

Green gram dal : 1 cup
Ridge gourd skin : 1 cup
Ginger : 1 inch piece
Red chilies :3
Cumin seeds : 1 tea spoon
Onions : 2 (finely chopped)
Green chilies : 2 (finely chopped)
Oil : 3 table spoons
Salt to taste


Wash and soak green gram dal in water for 5 hours
Grind soaked green gram dal, red chilies, ridge gourd skin and ginger into smooth paste.
Add 1 tea spoon of cumin seeds and salt as per taste to the batter.
Now add chopped onions and green chillies, mix well.
Heat Tawa, add 2 teaspoons of oil and spread the batter  uniformly on the Tawa.
Roast on slow flame for 3 to 4 minutes on both sides add 1 tea spoon oil if needed.
Serve hot with chutney or tomato sauce.
