Mushroom Masala

Mushrooms are loaded with many essential nutrients. They are the only vegetable which produces Vitamin D when they exposed to sunlight like human beings.They also very good source of antioxidants  According to a study white button mushrooms boost immune function. Mushrooms are loaded with Vitamin B 2  and Vitamin B 3. Here's is a tasty "Mushroom Masala Curry" prepared with these healthy white button mushrooms from Hema's Kitchen.

Ingredients

Mushroom : 250 gms
Onions : 2 (Finely Chopped)
Green chilies : 2
Ginger, garlic paste : 2 teaspoons
Garam masala powder : 2 teaspoons
Red chilly powder : 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder : 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander powder : 1 teaspoon
Cumin powder : 1/2 teaspoon
Oil : 1 table spoon
Salt to taste

Method

Wash and cut each mushroom into two pieces and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan add onions and green chilies fry till they turn into light brown in color.
Add ginger, garlic paste and turmeric powder,  fry for 2 minutes on low flame.
Add mushroom mix well , now add red chilly powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder and salt mix well and fry for 5 minutes on low flame.
Add 1 cup of water and cook on low flame till done.
Serve hot with Rice or Roti.
