Arati Kaya Perugu Vadalu

This is an another variation of Dahi Vada from Hema's Kitchen.
In this recipe Arati Kaya Vadalu (Plantain Fritters) are used instead of Urad Dal Vada. This snack "Arati Kaya Perugu Vadalu" is extremely tasty and delicious.

Ingredients

Arati Kaya Vadalu (Plantain Fritters) : 6
Curd (Dahi) : 2 cups
Red chillies : 2
Mustard : 1 tea spoon
Cumin seeds : 1 tea spoon
Curry leaves : Few
Black Gram Dal : 1 tea spoon
Asafoetida : 1/2 tea spoon
Salt to taste
Oil : 2 tea spoons


Method 

Beat the curd with a beater and set aside.
Heat oil in a pan add Black gram dal, mustard, red chillies  cumin seeds, curry leaves fry till mustard starts splitting.
Add salt as per taste and mix well.
Add fried ingredients and asafoetida to the beaten curd and mix well.
Soak all the vadas in the above seasoned curd and soak for 20 minutes.
Sprinkle the red chilly powder and pepper powder over the vadas before serving.
Serve at room temperature with Imli Ka Chutney.
