Two varieties of momo recipes, one prepared with vegetables and other with chicken are available in Hema's kitchen. Here is another variety of momo recipe prepared with egg scramble.
For cover :
All purpose flour (Maida) : 1 cup
Baking powder : 1 tea spoon
Salt to taste
For filling :
Eggs : 2
Onions : 2 (finely chopped)
Green chillies : 2 (finely chopped)
Garlic pods : 4 (finely chopped)
Ginger : 1/2 inch piece (crushed )
Turmeric powder : 1/2 tea spoon
Red chilly powder : 1 tea spoon
Black pepper : 1 tea spoon
Soya sauce : 2 tea spoons
Chilly sauce : 1 tea spoon
Tomato sauce : 2 tea spoons
Salt to taste
Oil : 1 table spoon
Take a bowl, add all purpose flour(maida), baking powder, salt and make tight dough by adding little water.
Cover the dough with a cloth and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan . Add onions & green chillies, fry till onions turns light brown.
Add garlic, ginger and fry for 1 minute.
Add beaten eggs into above mixture, fry for 2 minutes on low flame.
Add turmeric powder, red chilly powder, black pepper powder and fry for 3 minutes on low flame.
Add soya, chilly & tomato sauce. Mix well before turning off the flame.
Make the dough into round balls and roll the dough balls into flat round shape like chapati.
Add a spoonful of the above mixture in the middle and close the ends.Steam momos for 10 minutes on medium flame.
Egg momos are ready to serve.
Serve hot with tomato sauce or ketchep.
