Kubera Laddu

Our body requires a good amount of proteins, vitamins, iron to maintain good health.
Green gram dal, flattened rice, jaggery and other dry fruits are good source of proteins, vitamins ,iron etc. On the occasion of  Vinayaka Chaturthi, here's a special recipe "Kubera Laddu" as Naivedyam (Sacred food) to Lord Ganesha.This recipe contains all the above nutrients and can be prepared very easily at home.
Ingredients

Green gram dal : 1 cup
Flattened rice : 1 cup
Sweet boondhi : 1/2 cup
Jaggery : 1cup
Cashew nuts powder:25 grms
Almonds powder: 25 grms
Raisin : few
Cardamom powder : 2 tea spoons
Ghee : 1 table spoon

Method

Soak the green gram dal for 4 hours.
Soak  the flattened rice for 2 minutes
Boil the soaked  green gram dal for till it turns soft.
Take little water in a vessal, add jaggery and stir continuously till it turns into thick syrup.
Add cardamom powder, soaked flattened rice, boiled green gram dal, cashew and almond powder, sweet boondhi, fried raisins, ghee and mix well.
Allow the mixture to cool for sometime.
Roll the mixture into round shapes (like laddus)
Kubera laddu is ready to serve.
