Toddy Palm Pulp Pan Cake - Tatipandu rotti

Here's an unique breakfast recipe "Toddy Palm Pulp Pan Cake" prepared with Toddy palm fruit pulp, rice rava from Hema's Kitchen.This recipe is very delicious, tasty and worth to give it a try. 


Toddy palm fruit pulp(tati pandu gujju) : 1cup
Rice ravva : 1 cup
Jaggery : 1 cup
Grated coconut : 1/2 cup
Oil : 4 tea spoons


Roast the toddy palm fruit on charcoal fire (if coal is not available it can be roasted on gas stove on low flame and allow the fruit to cool.
Now grate the roasted toddy palm fruit.
Add rice ravva , grated coconut and jaggery into above pulp and mix well.
Heat 2 teaspoon oil in a deep bottom karai (wok).
Add above mixture and cover with a lid and allow to cook on low flame for 10 minutes.
Now gently turn into other side add 2 tea spoons oil and cook for 5 minutes on low flame.
Delicious toddy palm fruit pan cake is ready to serve.

  5. Love palm fruit very much and it has been ages I have ever seen one, though my father has many trees in our farm in our native place:). You have grilled it beautifully. I can imagine the superb smell and drooling now. This recipe is quite new for me. Looks very delicious.
