Jeedipappu mulakkada kurma

Kurma make a very good combination with biryani recipe. Here is a simple and yummy kurma recipe which is prepared with drumsticks and cashew nuts.

Ingredients :

Drumsticks : 3 (cut into 1 inch pieces)
Cashew nuts : 1/2 cup (soaked)
Onions : 2 (chopped)
Green chillies : 2 
Tomatoes : 2 (cut into medium size pieces)
Garam masala powder : 1 tea spoon
Red chillie powder : 1 table spoon 
Turmeric powder : 1/2 tea spoon
Poopy seeds paste : 2 tea spoons
Cumin powder : 1/2 tea spoon
Coriander powder : 1 tea spoon
Ginger & garlic paste : 2 tea spoons
Oil : 1 table spoon
Salt to taste

Method :

Heat oil in a pan add chopped onions, green chillies fry till onions turns light brown.
Add drumsticks, turmeric powder and fry for 2 minutes on low flame.
Add red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, ginger and garlic paste fry for 2 minutes on low flame.
Add tomato pieces, soaked cashew nuts and mix well.
Add garam masala powder, poppy seeds paste, mix well and add some water.
Cook on low flame until they are soft.
Cashew Drumstick kurma is ready to serve.
Serve hot with Biryani or Roti.
