Miriyala kodi kura - Pepper Chicken Curry

This is an another variation of chicken curry prepared with black pepper. which is very tasty and easy to prepare.


Ingredients :

Chicken : 500 gms
Pepper powder : 2 tea spoons
Onions : 3 (chopped)
Green chillies : 3 
Curry leaves : few
Turmeric powder : 1 tea spoon
Lemon juice : 3 tea spoons
Whole black pepper : 2 tea spoon (crushed)
Ginger & Garlic paste : 2 tea spoons
Garam masala powder : 2 tea spoons
Salt to taste
Oil : 1 table spoon


Method : 

Marinate the cleaned chicken pieces by adding salt, lemon juice, turmeric powder and pepper powder, keep aside for 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan, add onions, green chillies, curry leaves and fry till onions turn light golden brown.
Add ginger & garlic paste, fry for 1 minute on low flame.
Add garam masala powder, crushed whole black pepper and mix well.
Add marinated chicken pieces and fry for 5 minutes on low flame.
Now add some water, cover with lid and cook till the gravy thickens.

Serve hot with Rice or Roti.
