Chilakada Dumpa Pakoda - Sweet Potato Fritters

Here is an another variety snack from Hema's kitchen "sweet potato fritters" (chilakada dumpa pakoda). Which is prepared with healthy sweet potatoes and gram flour. It's very tasty, crispy and easy to prepare.




Ingredients :

Sweet potatoes : 2
Onions : 2 (finely chopped)
Green chilli : 4(finely chopped)
Gram flour(besan) : 1cup
Rice flour : 2 table spoons
Ginger garlic paste : 2 tea spoons
Carom seeds : 2 teaspoons
Cumin seeds : 2teaspoons
Red chilly powder : 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves :few
Coriander leaves :few
Salt  : To taste
Oil to deep fry



Method:

1. Peel the skin of Potato and then grate finely.
2. Mix all the above Ingredients in a Bowl.Add little water to form a thick Paste.
3. Heat oil in a Kadai
4. Now slowly drop Tea Spoonfuls of the Pakoda Batter  in the oil and ensure that the Batter mix in the Kadai is not completely filled up.Deep fry the Batter mix in slow flame till the mix turns golden brown.
5. Take the Pakodas from Kadai into a plate.
Serve hot with Tomata Sauce or Green Chutney.

  1. Interesting dish with sweet potatoes. Never made before but after reading and looking at the pictures, the temptation is overwhelming.
