Seven Cups Sweet

Sweet dishes like laddoo, kheer etc, oftenly offered as sacred foods on Diwali during Goddess Lakshmi Pooja. Diwali also known as Deepavali is a famous festival of lights in India. This festival denotes the victory of good over the evil.

Seven cups sweet is a variety which can be offered as sacred food (Prasadam) to Goddess Lakshmi on the occasion of Diwali. It is very delicious and almost every child likes it. This recipe is named "Seven Cups Sweet" because it is prepared with seven cups of ingredients. Here is the simple method of preparation for this sweet recipe.
Ingredients :

Sugar : 3 cups
Gram flour ( chenaga pindi) : 1 cup
Ghee : 1 cup
Grated Coconut : 1 cup
Milk : 1 cup
Almonds : few
Method :

Boil milk in a vessel, add sugar and stir continuously till the mixture turns a thick syrup.
Add gram flour in the above syrup and thoroughly mix to form a thick batter. (Stir continuously to avoid lumps).
Now add Ghee and grated coconut and mix well.
Now apply ghee in a moulded plate of desired shape and spread the above mixture in the mould.
Garnish with almonds. 
Cut them into pieces and serve.
