Chilakada Dumpa Bellam Pulusu - Sweet Potato Stew

Here is Sweet potato stew which is one of the stew variants of Hema's Kitchen normally eaten with rice. The recipe is healthy and tasty. Here's the simple procedure to prepare the recipe.
Ingredients :
Sweet potatoes (chilakada dumpa) : 2
Onions : 2 (chopped)
Green chillies : 2
Turmeric powder : 1/2 tea spoon
Red chillies : 2
Curry leaves : few
Curry masala : 1 tea spoon
Mustard seeds : 1 tea spoon
Fenugreek seeds : 1 tea spoon
Cumin seeds :1/2 tea spoon
Garlic pods : 8
Coriander leaves : few
Tamarind Juice : 1 cup
Jaggery : 2 tea spoons
Oil : 1 table spoon
Salt to taste

Method :

Wash and cut the sweet potatoes (chilakada dumpa) into round shaped pieces and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan,add Mustard seeds, cumin seeds, garlic pods, fenugreek seeds, curry leaves, and fry till mustard starts splitting.
Add onions, green chillies, red chillies and fry till onions turn light brown.
Add sweet potato pieces, turmeric powder and fry for 1 minute on low flame.
Add curry masala powder, salt, coriander leaves,mix well and fry for 1 minute on low flame.
Add 2 cup of water and cook for 5 minutes on low flame.
Add tamarind juice, jaggery into cooked sweet potatoes and let it boil for 4 to 5 minutes on low flame, garnish with coriander leaves.
Chilakada dumpa bellam pulusu (sweet potato stew) is ready to serve.
Serve hot with rice.
