Gongura Kabuli Chana Kura

This is an another variation of chickpeas curry (Gongura kabuli chana) which is prepared with red sorrel leaves paste (gongura paste) and chickpeas (kabuli chana). Which is very tasty and easy to prepare.
Ingredients :

Kabuli chana (chickpeas) : 1 cup
Gongura ( sorrel leaves) : 1 bunch
Onion : 1 (chopped)
Red chillies : 2
Ginger & garlic paste : 1 tea spoon
Curry leaves : few
Coriander powder : 1 tea spoon
Cumin powder : 1 tea spoon
Red chilly powder : 1 tea soopn
Turmeric powder : 1/2 tea spoon
Oil : 1 table spoon
Salt to taste

Method :

Wash and soak the chickpeas overnight.
Add salt and water to one cup soaked chickpeas and pressure for 10 minutes.
Wash and boil the sorrel leaves for 5 minutes on low flame.
Grind the boiled sorrel and make coarse paste.
Heat oil in a pan add onions, red chillies, curry leaves and fry till onions turn light brown.
Add sorrel leaves paste, turmeric powder and fry for 2 minutes on low flame.
Add ginger, garlic paste, red chilly powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and fry for 2 minutes on low flame.
Add boiled chickpeas, salt into above mixture and mix well, cook for 3 minutes on low flame.
Gongura kabuli chana is ready to serve.
Serve hot with rice or roti.
