Menthaku Idli - Fenugreek Leaves Idli

Here is a healthy and variety idly recipe prepared with idli batter and fenugreek leaves (menthaku). This is tasty,easy to prepare and some thing different from routine idli.
Ingredients :


Idli batter : 1 cup
Fenugreek leaves : 1 cup
Green chillies : 2 (cut into small pieces)
Ginger (finely chopped ) : 1 tea spoon
Ghee : 4 tea spoons
Salt to taste

Method :

Wash the fenugreek leaves and keep aside.
Heat ghee in a pan add ginger pieces, green chilly pieces, fenugreek leaves, salt and fry for 2 minutes on low flame.
Allow the mixture to cool for sometime.
Now add above mixture into idli batter and mix well.
Fill the batter in idly trays and steam cook till done.
Fenugreek idli  is ready to serve.
Serve hot with Ground nut chutney or tomato chutney.
