Akakarakaya Bangaladumpa Vepudu

Here's a simple and yummy fry recipe which is prepared with Teasel gourd and potato.It is very tasty and easy to prepare.
Ingredients : 

Teasel gourd (Akakarakayalu) : 4
Potato : 1 (medium size)
Onion : 1 (chopped)
Red chillies : 2
Curry leaves : few
Black gram dal : 2 tea spoons
Mustard seeds : 1 tea spoon
Cumin seeds : 1/2 tea spoon
Garlic pods : 6
Red chilly powder : 2 tea spoons
Turmeric powder : 1/2 tea spoon
Oil : 2 table spoon
Salt to taste

Method :

Wash and cut the teasel gourds into small pieces and keep aside.
Peel the potato and cut into medium size pieces.
Heat oil in a pan add black gram dal, garlic pods, cumin seeds and mustard seeds, fry till mustard starts splitting.
Add  chopped onion, curry leaves and fry till onions turns light brown.
Add turmeric powder, potato pieces and fry for 2 minutes on low flame.
Add teasel gourd pieces and fry with a lid on stirring for every 2 minutes.
Add salt, fry till teasel gourd pieces become soft.
Add red chilly powder, mix well and fry for 2 minutes on low flame.
Teasel gourd and potato fry is ready to serve.
Serve hot with rice
