Sorakaya Bombay Chutney

Here is a healthy and yummy recipe Sorakaya bombay chutney, which is prepared with bottle guard Sorakaya) and gram flour (senagapindi). It is very tasty and easy to prepare.

Ingredients : 

Gram flour (besan) : 1/2 cup
Onion : 1 (chopped)
Green chilies : 2
Ginger&garlic paste : 1 tea spoon
Curry leaves : few
Red chilies : 2
Cumin seeds : 1 tea spoon
Mustard seeds : 1 tea spoon
Bottle guard pieces (sorakaya) : 1 cup (boiled)
Coriander leaves : few
Tomatoes : 2 (cut into small pieces)
Red chilies powder : 1 tea spoon
Turmeric powder : 1/2 tea spoon
Oil : 1 table spoon
Salt to taste
Method :

Mix the gram flour with 1/2 cup of water and make a smooth batter and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fry till mustard start splitting.
Add onions, green chilies,red chilies, curry leaves fry till onions turns light brown in color.
Add boiled bottle guard pieces, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste and fry for two minutes on low flame.
Add tomato pieces, red chilly powder, salt and fry for 1 minute,
Add 2 cups water into above mixture and let it boil
When water starts to boil add gram flour batter slowly by stirring the entire mixture continuously and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until thick.
Add coriander leaves and mix well.
Sorakaya bombay chutney is ready to serve.
Serve hot with idli, puri,chapati or dosa.
