Capsicum Senagapappu Kura

Here is a healthy and yummy recipe 'capsicum chana dal curry'. This is prepared with capsicum and bengal gram dal. It is very tasty and easy to prepare.


Ingredients 

Capsicum pieces : 2 cups
Bengal gram dal : 1/2 cup (soaked)
Onion : 1 (chopped)
Green chilies : 3
Tomato pieces : 1 cup
Ginger, garlic paste : 2 tea spoons
Turmeric powder : 1/2 tea spoon
Cumin powder : 1/2 tea spoon
Red chilly powder : 2 tea spoon
Coriander powder : 2 tea spoon
Garam masala powder : 1 tea spoon
Oil : 2 table spoons
Salt to taste


Method :

Pressure cook the soaked bengal gram dal for 5 minutes (2 whistles).
Heat oil in a pan add onions, green chilies and fry till onions turn light brown.
Add ginger, garlic paste, turmeric powder, capsicum pieces, tomato pieces and mix well.
Add red chilly powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt and fry for 2 minute on low flame.
Add bengal gram dal and garam masala and fry for 2 minutes on low flame.
Add little water and cook till done.
Serve hot with rice or roti.
